BEWNET

Under the initiative of „AFRA-International Center for Black Women's Perspectives“ and co-organized by „Tiye International“ the 1st Black European Women's Congress took place in Vienna,

Organised in the framework of and as a contribution to the „European Year for Equal Opportunities for All“ and as the first of it's kind, the 1st  Black European Women's Congress, from the 27th to 29th of September 2007, brought together over 100 Black Women from 16 EU-Member States, Switzerland and the USA.

BEWNET-Black European Women's Network“ was founded to demonstate the willingness and the need for collective dialoque and dealing with relevant EU insititutions.“BEWNET“ shall be officially launched in the framework of  the “European Year of Intercultural Dialoque” 2008.
